SteamedClams

A great source of iron, potassium, zinc, selenium and omega-3 fatty acids, clams are an excellent addition to your menu. Steaming them is incredibly quick, easy and – we admit – barely qualifies as an actual recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh clams
  • Grass-fed ghee or butter

Directions

  1. Heat water in pot with steamer basket.
  2. While waiting for water to boil, scrub clams with brush under running water (pay close attention & discard any with broken or open shells).
  3. When water is boiling, add clams to basket & steam for about 5 minutes or until all clams have opened.
  4. Melt butter and enjoy!
