A great source of iron, potassium, zinc, selenium and omega-3 fatty acids, clams are an excellent addition to your menu. Steaming them is incredibly quick, easy and – we admit – barely qualifies as an actual recipe.
- 1 lb fresh clams
- Grass-fed ghee or butter
- Heat water in pot with steamer basket.
- While waiting for water to boil, scrub clams with brush under running water (pay close attention & discard any with broken or open shells).
- When water is boiling, add clams to basket & steam for about 5 minutes or until all clams have opened.
- Melt butter and enjoy!
Makes a meal for one.
